Composed as a series of petitions to God, it asks for forgiveness, mercy, guidance, and peace. The prayer reflects themes of repentance and hope, expressing both God's closeness as a compassionate parent and God's sovereignty as the King of the universe. Here I have the honor of facing the ark, standing next to Rabbi Jon Cutler, as I sing this most beautiful sacred prayer of Yom Kippur. Sung Thursday October 2, 2025.
